Merry Christmas!!
Im absolutely exhausted! Its only 10:00 and it feels like its 3 am! My right arm is stiff and sore from all my mixing! hah- Banana Pudding; cookies;mac n cheese; peanut butter fudge ect ! Merry Merry Christmas! Hope everyone enjoyed their families and all the holiday cheer today! Im hittin the hay!

MAPLE TOWN AND RUFFLY SOCKS
SO TODAY WAS A FUN DAY! MY NIECE ANNA TURNED 5 TODAY. SHE IS SUCH A SPOILED LITTLE BRAT- BUT I LOVE HER ANYWAY. SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BIT SASSY..A LOT LIKE ME. HER MOM IS YOUNG AND SHE ISNT REALLY EVER IN A "GROWN UP" ENVIRONMENT. SHE IS 5 AND CAN SING EVERY WORD TO "LOW"-THE APPLE BOTTOM JEANS SONG. SHE IS 5 GOING ON 17. AND THIS GOT ME THINKING....
WHAT HAPPENED TO HAVING A CHILDHOOD!? WHERE ARE THE TINKER TOYS AND BIKES AND BABY DOLLS AND PLAYING SCHOOL? WHAT HAPPENED TO PLAYING OUTSIDE? SWINGSETS? ALL OF THESE PRECIOUS MEMORIES I HAVE HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH WII AND NINTENDO DS AND 9 YEAR OLDS WITH CELL PHONES! BRATS HAVE REPLACED BARBIE! HANNAH MONTANA IS THE NEW PUNKY BREWSTER. WHERE ARE THE SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS!? AND KOOL-AID!? I WATCHED A MOM BUY HER 4 AND 6 YEAR OLD FRAPPUCINOS AT STARBUCKS! WTF!?
WITH ALL THIS "NEW AGE" COMES A SADNESS BECAUSE I WANT MY KIDS TO PLAY OUTSIDE-AND NOT WITH ELECTRONICS. I WANT MY DAUGHTERS IMAGINATION TO FLOURISH PLAYING HOUSE AND SCHOOL AND BARBIES! AND I DONT WANT MY 10 YEAR OLD TO ASK ME FOR A MYSPACE! I MEAN WHERE ARE THE SMOCKED DRESSES...AND CUTESY BABY GEAR. BABIES SHOULD LOOK LIKE BABIES. MY 3MONTH OLD WILL NOT BE WEARING A PUMA TRACK SUIT. I JUST DONT GET IT.
IM FEARFUL FOR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS. IM ALMOST SCARED TO HAVE A BABY--ALL THE CRAZIES AND CREEPIES THAT ARE AROUND. GROSS!!
IM PRETTY SURE THIS WILL NOT DETOUR MY GOALS OF HAVING 3 OR 4 MINI ME'S RUNNING AROUND... I WILL JUST HAVE TO BE ONE OF THOSE MOMS WHO DRAWS THE LINES FROM THE WOMB. BUT KNOWING HOW "FUN" I WAS GROWING UP (FROM MY MOMS PERSPECTIVE) I WILL BE IN FOR IT!! HAHA

Breakin the Seal....
Hi Everyone! Ive decided to join the phenomena of BLOGGING. Im a pretty sociable person with MORE THAN ENOUGH to say!
Im Holly. Im 25--26 in 9 days---i will officially be over the hump! Hooray! Im a Christmas baby- hence the HOLLY..my sister always said it was better than MISTLETOE!
I live in Charleston, SC--BEST CITY EVER!! I love the beach and the pool and anything OUTDOORS in the summertime! Take it from me- I LOVE LOVE LOVE it up north--but theres truly no place like HOME! Where else can you go on a Plantation tour of historic families-and witness BUBBA the mullet sportin maintenance man peein in the "historic cotton fields" while holding a beer at 2 in the afternoon. (totally joking) Honestly though- I thouroughly enjoy saying YES MA'AM and NO SIR and callin everybody SUGAR! Bless your Heart!! I enjoy having manners and an appreciation for COLLARD GREENS!! MMmmm! Id move to NYC in a skinny minute-Ive always wanted to- but i know the second i could... Id be back! Theres nothing like it!! GOOD FAMILY.. GOOD FRIENDS...GOOD FOOD! YEE HAW!!( ok so joking)
Im a bartender and full fledged FUN TIME GAL! I know that life is serious and that Im totally behind my peers as far as growing up (real jobs and families) but Im having way too much fun! I definitely believe in SEIZING the DAY!! Or atleast happy hour with good friends. I LIVE for the SUMMER and the 115degree heat--but Im never unhappy when COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON ARRIVES!!! You think id give the liver a rest--nah!
I'm engaged--to the biggest nerd ever--but i love him.. Bless his heart-and we have been together forever! 8 years..thats a whole 'nother BLOG!!
I have 2 dogs- Mr. Binx and GiGi! A yorkie and a shitzu... LOVE them!! If they shed any light on how i will be with my children--Im in for a LONG road of SPOILAGE!! They like to wear clothes..well actually Mr. Binx likes to dress up-and Miss Gigi would rather go roll in the mud!! POLAR OPPOSITES!! but it makes for a fun and entertaining dynamic! Trust that there will be many MANY stories of them to come!
I have been blessed with the GREATEST FAMILY! I was adopted into a family of 5 brothers and sisters-the youngest of which was 17 when I came along. I have 8 neices and a nephew. We are all around the same age had such a blast growing up that we are all still pretty close. Brittiany and Karissa were always more my sisters than neices. Still are. We are all SO different-yet so close. We can not talk for weeks and then pick up as if it were yesterday. I love it! My Mom-aka BAD BETTY-is the Supreme Head of our gang. She is so funny and caring that we all personify her FIERCENESS in some way shape or form..My Dad- who is no longer with us- was such a great person. We ALL miss him and carry around a little piece of POP with us.
BLESSED!! I will "family" blog next time. They are all such a part of the person I am today.
Well--theres a little bit into ME! Starbucks Addicted..Family Lovin..Shopaholic Southern Charmer-ME!
